Purgatory is the smallest of the Masquerade's three stages — Heaven, Purgatory and Hell — in Kenny's Alley beneath Underground Atlanta. Since 1989 the complex has been Atlanta's home for punk, metal and everything alternative. The Body are an American experimental metal duo formed in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1999 by guitarist-vocalist Chip King and drummer-programmer Lee Buford.
