The Colosseum is the concert and comedy room at Caesars Windsor, the casino hotel on the Detroit River in Windsor, Ontario, and the stage on which the resort files all of its touring shows. Caesars Windsor opened in a temporary building in May 1994 as Ontario's first casino and moved to its permanent site on 29 July 1998; a $400 million expansion completed in June 2008 added a convention centre, a 5,000-seat entertainment centre and the 27-storey Augustus tower, and Billy Joel played the relaunch. The resort is owned by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and operated by Caesars Entertainment. The Black Keys are an American rock duo formed in Akron, Ohio, in 2001 by guitarist-singer Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney, who had known each other since childhood.
