A landmark concert venue and former theatre in Camden Town, London. Opened in 1900 as The Camden Theatre, it passed through lives as the Camden Hippodrome, a cinema, a wartime closure and a long BBC tenancy, before reopening in 1977 as The Music Machine and, from 1982, the Camden Palace. An extensive restoration brought it back as KOKO, since described as one of London's premier live venues. Talia Mar was writing songs and poems at eight, taught herself guitar at eleven and was producing her own tracks by fourteen, before the BRIT School and a spell working behind a bar at Chessington World of Adventures.
