An outdoor pavilion near Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford, New Hampshire — nearly 9,000 fans, two-thirds under the covered roof, the rest on the lawn. New England's summer-shed classic since 1996. Styx are an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1972, originally built around Dennis DeYoung, James Young, John Curulewski and brothers Chuck and John Panozzo, with Tommy Shaw joining in 1975.
