An intimate, independent room in Camden Town, five minutes' walk from the tube, founded in 2005 by two music-loving friends. Folk, Americana, country and bluegrass through to blues, roots, world and jazz, with a gig on every night — plus a vegetarian café-bar and a basement piano bar that give it the feel of a 1960s coffee-shop music parlour. Sound of the Sirens are Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood, a singer-songwriting duo based in Exeter, Devon, who have honed their craft over a decade into firm favourites on the Westcountry scene and nationally — "one of the UK's finest folk acts", as one review of the album Damage Control had it.
