The largest natural outdoor amphitheatre in the United States, opened in 1922 beneath the Hollywood Hills. Its concentric white shell has hosted The Beatles, the LA Phil and a century of summer nights with picnic baskets and wine. Smokey Robinson is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter, born William Robinson Jr. in Detroit in 1940 and one of the architects of the Motown sound.
