The Palacio de los Deportes is a domed indoor arena in Mexico City, built for the 1968 Summer Olympics and now seating around 20,000. Its distinctive copper-clad dome, designed by Félix Candela, makes it one of the city's landmark concert and sporting venues. Slayer are an American thrash metal band formed in Huntington Park, California, in 1981 by guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, drummer Dave Lombardo and vocalist-bassist Tom Araya.
