San Antonio's arena on the east side, opened in 2002 as the SBC Center and home to the Spurs — 18,418 for basketball and around 19,000 once it is set for a concert. Rush are Canada's most celebrated rock export — the Toronto progressive trio of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and drummer-lyricist Neil Peart, whose virtuosic runs through Moving Pictures, 2112 and Hemispheres made them a musician's band with an arena-sized cult.
