A 9,525-seat amphitheatre carved between two 300-foot sandstone monoliths outside Denver, opened in 1941 and considered by many artists the greatest venue on earth. U2's Under a Blood Red Sky and the annual Film on the Rocks are part of its legend. Rise Against are Chicago's melodic-hardcore conscience, whose Savior and Prayer of the Refugee carried punk's protest tradition to platinum status.
