The Oval Hall is the main auditorium of Sheffield City Hall, a Grade II*-listed neo-classical building on Barker's Pool in central Sheffield that opened in 1932 to a design by E. Vincent Harris. Seating 2,271, it is the city's principal concert hall and houses the Grand Willis III organ, the largest in Sheffield. Rick Wakeman is the caped keyboard wizard of Yes whose solo epics like The Six Wives of Henry VIII defined progressive rock excess — and whose wit made him a broadcasting favourite.
