A live music venue in a former movie theatre on South Main Street in Downtown Los Angeles — the oldest theatre building left on that street. It opened as the National Theatre in 1914, ran second-run programmes through the 1920s as the district declined, later became a grindhouse and then an adult cinema, and shut in 2000. Renovation brought it back as a concert venue in 2014. Protomartyr are an American post-punk band formed in Detroit in 2010, made up of Joe Casey, Greg Ahee, Alex Leonard and Scott Davidson.
