Glasgow's sprung-floor ballroom under a neon starburst sign, routinely named by artists as the best crowd in Britain. The Barrowlands roar is a rite of passage. Primus are the Bay Area trio led by bass virtuoso Les Claypool, whose gonzo funk-metal on Sailing the Seas of Cheese and the South Park theme made weirdness a stadium draw.
