A multi-purpose arena in Biloxi, Mississippi, built in 1977, seating 11,500 reserved or 15,000 festival-style. Elvis Presley was booked for its grand opening but died before it opened; Charley Pride played the first concert on 18 November 1977 and Blue Öyster Cult became the first rock band to appear. It has since hosted boxing, college basketball and major touring acts. Journey are an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1973 by former members of Santana and other Bay Area groups.
