An amphitheatre, performing arts center and museum on the very site of the 1969 Woodstock festival in Bethel, New York, about 90 miles from New York City. The 800-acre grounds hold a 15,000-seat outdoor venue, a 1,000-seat terrace stage, an intimate 440-seat indoor hall and the Museum at Bethel Woods. Concerts across many genres run June through September. Jazz at Lincoln Center was founded in 1987 as part of Lincoln Center and opened its own home at what was then the Time Warner Center in October 2004.
