The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is an outdoor amphitheatre on Anastasia Island in St. Augustine, Florida, opened in 1965 to mark the city's 400th anniversary. After a 2018 expansion it holds more than 4,700 people and ranks among the country's busiest amphitheatres for touring concerts. James Taylor broke through in 1970 with "Fire and Rain" and had his first No. 1 the following year with Carole King's "You've Got a Friend".
