An intimate, independent room in Camden Town, five minutes' walk from the tube, founded in 2005 by two music-loving friends. Folk, Americana, country and bluegrass through to blues, roots, world and jazz, with a gig on every night — plus a vegetarian café-bar and a basement piano bar that give it the feel of a 1960s coffee-shop music parlour. James Or is an Irish singer-songwriter who has shared the stage with Frank Turner and The Pogues, and has been praised for the honesty, wit and authenticity of his songwriting — an artist, as his billing has it, who finds meaning in the quirks of everyday life.
