James Or is an Irish singer-songwriter who has shared the stage with Frank Turner and The Pogues, and has been praised for the honesty, wit and authenticity of his songwriting — an artist, as his billing has it, who finds meaning in the quirks of everyday life. His debut album All the Beds We've Been In captured themes of isolation, resilience and recovery. Beautifully melodic and introspective, drawing from the same wells as his compatriot Glen Hansard and Elbow's Guy Garvey, his writing has earned him numerous plaudits, including a place on the Irish music bible Hotpress's Ones to Watch listings.
