The UC Theatre, officially the UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall, is a nonprofit concert hall in downtown Berkeley, California, run by the Berkeley Music Group. Originally opened as a cinema in 1917, it was restored and reopened as a 1,400-capacity live-music venue in 2016. Fruit Bats is the long-running folk-rock project of Eric D. Johnson, whose warm, melodic albums have been a Sub Pop and Merge staple since 2001.
