Reborn as a 1,870-seat performing-arts venue in 2010, it's now one of the city's key stops for touring bands and live performances. Fruit Bats is the long-running folk-rock project of Eric D. Johnson, whose warm, melodic albums have been a Sub Pop and Merge staple since 2001.
