Saturn is an independent music venue in Birmingham, Alabama, recognisable for its space- and science-themed décor and adjoining Satellite bar, with a calendar spanning indie, rock, metal, punk and electronic acts as well as comedy. Fruit Bats is the long-running folk-rock project of Eric D. Johnson, whose warm, melodic albums have been a Sub Pop and Merge staple since 2001.
