Capital Ballroom is a mid-sized live-music venue and nightclub at 858 Yates Street in downtown Victoria, British Columbia, occupying the space long known as Sugar Nightclub before its rebrand. It hosts touring bands and DJ nights across rock, indie and electronic bills. Fruit Bats is the long-running folk-rock project of Eric D. Johnson, whose warm, melodic albums have been a Sub Pop and Merge staple since 2001.
