The Basement East is a live-music venue in the East Nashville neighbourhood of Nashville, Tennessee, the larger sibling of the original Basement club and nicknamed 'The Beast'. Destroyed by the tornado that struck Nashville in March 2020, it was rebuilt on its Woodland Street site and continues to showcase touring and local acts. Finn Wolfhard is the Canadian actor-musician known as Stranger Things' Mike Wheeler, who also writes fuzzy indie rock — previously with Calpurnia, now The Aubreys and solo.
