G Live is an arts centre on London Road in Guildford, Surrey, built on the site of the former Guildford Civic Hall. It opened in September 2011 and was officially opened by Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, in February 2012. Its main auditorium holds between 1,000 and 1,700 people depending on the layout, and the smaller Bellerby Studio holds 100. Fin Taylor is an English stand-up comedian and podcaster, born in St Albans and educated at Abingdon School — where he first developed an interest in performance and comedy — and at the University of Bristol, whose comedy and performing arts scenes he threw himself into.

The main auditorium takes between 1,000 and 1,700 depending on how it is laid out — fully seated at the top end, around 420 for a dinner dance, and up to 800 for a standing reception. The smaller Bellerby Studio holds up to 120 standing. G Live opened on London Road in September 2011.
