A multi-purpose arena in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, at 14th Street and Grand Boulevard on the east side of the Power & Light District. It seats over 19,000 and has 72 suites, and has effectively become the city's primary indoor arena in place of Kemper Arena. Designed by a team including Populous and Ellerbe Becket, it was completed in October 2007 at a cost of $276 million and opened as the Sprint Center. Connected to its north side is the College Basketball Experience. Eric Clapton is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer and songwriter, born in Ripley, Surrey, in 1945 and widely regarded as one of the most influential guitarists in the music's history.
