South Side Ballroom is a large general-admission concert hall in the Cedars district just south of downtown Dallas, Texas, part of the Gilley's Dallas entertainment complex. It hosts arena-scale touring acts in a standing-room ballroom setting. Chance the Rapper, born Chancelor Bennett, made his name with the mixtape Acid Rap in 2013 and became a leading figure in Chicago hip-hop while staying independent.
