Mr. Smalls is a live music venue in Millvale, Pennsylvania, just outside Pittsburgh, in the former St. Ann's Catholic Church of 1924. Mike Speranzo and Liz Berlin — a longtime member of Rusted Root — bought the building in 2000 and opened it as a venue in 2002, keeping the 40 foot ceilings and windows of the old congregation room and fitting them with acoustic panelling. The Theatre stage holds 800 with a standing floor, two bars and a VIP balcony; the smaller Funhouse stage opened in April 2016, and there is a café in the basement, a restaurant and a multi-level courtyard with its own stage. Fall Out Boy, Muse, Smashing Pumpkins, Interpol, Kesha and Metric have all played. Brigitte Calls Me Baby are an American alternative rock band formed in Chicago in 2022 — singer Wes Leavins, guitarist Jack Fluegel, bassist Devin Wessels and drummer Jeremy Benshish.
