Altar Bar is a live-music venue on Murray Street in central Hobart, Tasmania. It hosts touring and local rock, punk and metal acts, from Tasmanian death-metal band Psycroptic to visiting Australian rock groups. Bleak Squad are an Australian rock supergroup formed in Melbourne, drawing members from several storied bands: Adalita Srsen of Magic Dirt, Mick Harvey of The Birthday Party and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Mick Turner of Dirty Three, and Marty Brown of Art of Fighting.
