Nottingham's independent rock fortress since 1980 — a 2,000-cap institution whose sticky floors have hosted Nirvana, Guns N' Roses and every metal tour worth its salt. Black Stone Cherry are an American hard rock and southern rock band formed in Edmonton, Kentucky, in 2001, built around the friendship of vocalist-guitarist Chris Robertson, guitarist Ben Wells and drummer John Fred Young.
