A converted steel fabrication warehouse in East Williamsburg, opened by Bowery Presents in 2017 — an 1,800-cap industrial box that quickly became Brooklyn's flagship mid-size room. Bikini Kill formed in Olympia, Washington in October 1990 — Kathleen Hanna singing and writing, Billy Karren on guitar, Kathi Wilcox on bass and Tobi Vail on drums — and pioneered the riot grrrl movement with feminist lyrics and fiery, abrasive, hardcore-influenced performances.
