A 16,500-capacity amphitheatre in The Woodlands, on Houston's northern edge — known locally as simply 'The Pavilion'. Run as a non-profit by The Center for the Performing Arts at The Woodlands, it splits its summer between touring rock and pop and its own performing-arts season. Babymetal formed in Tokyo in 2010 as a sub-unit of the idol group Sakura Gakuin, built on the idea of fusing heavy metal with the Japanese idol genre, and became an independent act in 2013.
