The largest outdoor music venue in the Indianapolis metropolitan area, at Noblesville, Indiana, with 6,147 seats under a pavilion and 18,000 general-admission lawn places. It opened in 1989 as Deer Creek Music Center on a site along Sand Creek north of exit 210 on Interstate 69, built by Sunshine Promotions and now owned by Live Nation. Pollstar ranked it the world's top concert amphitheatre by annual ticket sales for 2018 and again in 2023. Babymetal formed in Tokyo in 2010 as a sub-unit of the idol group Sakura Gakuin, built on the idea of fusing heavy metal with the Japanese idol genre, and became an independent act in 2013.
