The Key Club is a small underground live-music venue and club on Merrion Street in central Leeds, England, known for rock, punk and alternative gigs. Arkells are named after Arkell Street in the Westdale neighbourhood of Hamilton, where the original five lived and practised near McMaster University — Max Kerman met Mike DeAngelis at a Welcome Week event, the two of them discovering they had identical taste in music.
