A historic theater at 620 T Street NW in Washington, D.C., open since 1910 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Billed as the "Theater of the People," it was a cornerstone for African-American audiences and the great Black artists of the early-to-mid 20th century. After a major restoration, it reopened in 2012 with headliners including Chaka Khan. Altın Gün are a Dutch-Turkish psychedelic rock band from Amsterdam, founded in 2016 by bassist Jasper Verhulst after he posted an ad on Facebook looking for Turkish musicians.
