Altın Gün are a Dutch-Turkish psychedelic rock band from Amsterdam, founded in 2016 by bassist Jasper Verhulst after he posted an ad on Facebook looking for Turkish musicians. The name means Golden Day and puns on Altın Günü, a traditional social gathering day. They play Anatolian rock — a dirty blend of funk rhythms, wah-wah guitars and analogue organs — as well as psychedelic covers of Turkish folk music. Gece, in 2019, was nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards; Yol and Âlem in 2021 pushed toward synth-pop and electronic pop, and Aşk followed in 2023. Their 2026 album Garip consists exclusively of Neşet Ertaş covers.
