A beloved 1,100-capacity concert hall in Chicago, split between a main floor and balcony, that has championed local, regional and national emerging acts since it first opened in 1982. Formerly the Stages Music Hall and Cabaret Metro, the building also houses the Smart Bar nightclub tucked beneath the main venue. Alkaline Trio are a Chicago punk band formed in 1996 around Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano, whose dark, melodic punk on Goddamnit and From Here to Infirmary built a devoted following.
