Slope are a five-piece from Duisburg who have been playing hardcore-funk since 2014, which in their hands means aggressive punk welded to basslines that owe more to hip-hop than to hardcore. Freak Dreams, the 2024 album, is where the formula sits: heavy riffs, dual vocals, and what Noizze UK called ass-shaking grooves. The reference points are firmly 90s and the energy level is the selling point.
