Robbie Wessels is a South African singer-songwriter and actor best known for his good-humoured Afrikaans songs celebrating rugby, the outdoors and South African life. He scored a runaway hit with 'Leeuloop', a tongue-in-cheek rugby anthem that became a stadium and braai favourite, and has followed it with a steady run of popular albums. Blending boeremusiek, rock and country influences with storytelling and comedy, Wessels has built a loyal following and become a regular on the South African festival and live circuit. Alongside music he has worked as an actor in local film and television.
