Riaan Benadé

Riaan Benadé (born May 1992 in Pretoria) is a South African Afrikaans singer-songwriter and the son of singer Franna Benadé. He holds a three-year diploma in jazz music, majoring in guitar, from the Tshwane University of Technology. He rose to prominence in 2020 with the hit single 'Spontaan' and the debut album of the same name, which became one of the most-streamed Afrikaans releases of its period. He collaborated with Demi Lee Moore on the duet 'There Was Jesus' and won an AITSA award for 'Rowwe Bliksem' in 2022. He released a further album, Die Lot, in 2024.
