Quiet Light is the recording project of American musician Riya Mahesh, raised in Austin, Texas. Working in indie folk and folktronica, she weaves sparse, intimate songwriting through gossamer layers of ambient and electronic sound, a liminal, dreamlike style critics have likened to a Lynchian electropop. She released her first EP under the name in 2020 and issued her debut album, Blue Angel Sparkling Silver, in 2024, following it with Blue Angel Sparkling Silver 2 in 2026, which drew wider attention. She records for the label True Panther. Onstage, her hushed, atmospheric songs translate into delicate, closely observed performances that reward quiet attention rather than spectacle.
