About
Pity Party (Girls Club) is an American bedroom-pop and indie project, the moniker of Southern California musician Julian Isaac, formed in 2014 in the Inland Empire while he was still in high school. Working largely as a self-recording, self-releasing artist, he pairs hazy, lo-fi instrumentals with candid, melancholy lyrics about heartbreak and growing up. The project built a substantial online following through streaming, with tracks such as "selfish" and "I hope we can still be friends" and releases including the Girls Club material, alongside collaborations with peers in the DIY indie-pop scene. That grassroots momentum has translated into a steady touring presence for the intimate, emotionally direct live show.
