Mackenzy Mackay is a British singer-songwriter, originally from Yorkshire and now based in London, who works in a pop and indie-pop vein coloured by hip-hop, soul and R&B. He spent a stretch making music in New Zealand before returning to the UK, and broke through with the single "The One That You Call", which found a wide streaming audience. His songs, among them "Venus" and "London", pair conversational, melodic hooks with an easygoing delivery that has drawn comparisons to artists like Post Malone and Ed Sheeran. A rising live presence, he has featured on festival bills including Germany's Reeperbahn Festival as he builds out an international touring following.
