Kelela Mizanekristos made her debut in the music industry with the 2013 mixtape Cut 4 Me. The American singer followed it in 2015 with Hallucinogen, an EP which deals with the beginning, middle and end of a relationship in reverse chronological order, and in 2017 with her debut studio album Take Me Apart, released to critical acclaim. After a five-year hiatus came Raven in February 2023, and a third studio album, New Avatar, in July 2026.
