Joyce Manor formed in Torrance in 2008 after Barry Johnson and Chase Knobbe decided on a trip to Disneyland to start a band, and took the name from an apartment building Johnson used to walk past. The records are famously short. Constant Headache is on the 2011 self-titled debut; Never Hungover Again in 2014 was the first for Epitaph, and Cody, Million Dollars to Kill Me, 40 oz. to Fresno and I Used to Go to This Bar have followed. Consequence put them at number 25 on its list of the hundred best pop punk bands.
