About
Jenny Mitchell comes from the country music capital of New Zealand: an Aotearoa Music Award winner, nominated four times for an Australian Golden Guitar, who weaves folk and country influences around stories of family, nostalgia and connection to the land. She won the NZ Gold Guitar at just eighteen and has honed the songwriting craft for over a decade since, touring New Zealand, Australia and Ireland, playing a 32-date Australian tour supporting Kasey Chambers, opening for The Lumineers and releasing the breakthrough album Forest House. In 2024 the Australian Academy of Country Music selected her to perform at AmericanaFest in Nashville.
