EXTC

EXTC is a British band formed in 2017 by Terry Chambers, the original drummer of the celebrated new-wave group XTC, who played on their albums from 'White Music' (1978) through 'Mummer' (1983). Chambers launched the group with former TC&I bandmate Steve Tilling to bring XTC's late-1970s and early-1980s catalogue back to the stage. The touring lineup has featured Chambers on drums alongside singer-guitarist Steve Hampton and bassist Terry Lines. Rather than a straight tribute, the project trades on Chambers's first-hand role in the original recordings, revisiting songs the notoriously stage-shy XTC largely stopped performing live. Built around that authentic connection, EXTC has kept up an active touring schedule, delivering the angular, energetic guitar-pop of XTC's catalogue to audiences who never saw the original band on the road.
