About
Eden is a South African pop band formed in Johannesburg in 1997. The group debuted at the Aardklop arts festival with four members — Jaco du Plessis ('Jay'), Paolo Azevedo, Johan Vorster and Sean Else — and became known for power pop and soft melodic ballads performed in both Afrikaans and English. Sean Else departed in 2006. The band's albums include Point of No Return (2003), the self-titled Eden (2006), Knieë Lam (2008) and the compilation Dekade (2009), with Point of No Return certified three-times platinum. Eden won two Huisgenoot Tempo Awards and announced a hiatus in 2011.
