Die Heuwels Fantasties

Die Heuwels Fantasties is an Afrikaans electro-rock band founded in 2008 by Hunter Kennedy and Pierre Greeff. Born out of the Fokofpolisiekar circle, the band paired Kennedy's incisive Afrikaans songwriting with synth-driven, electronic-pop production — a sound that proved hugely commercial and helped redefine mainstream Afrikaans music. Across a string of successful albums they scored radio hits, won multiple South African Music Awards, and built a reputation as one of the country's biggest live draws, blending anthemic rock energy with dancefloor electronics. Their songs, often nostalgic and wordy, have become modern Afrikaans standards, and the band remains a festival headliner across South Africa.
