Veikkaus Arena

A large multi-functional indoor arena in Helsinki, next to Pasila railway station and 3.5 km north of Helsinki Central Station. Opened in April 1997 for that year's Ice Hockey World Championships, the elliptical building is 153 metres long and 123 metres wide and holds up to 15,000 for concerts. It was the Hartwall Arena until 2022, closed for over three years under EU sanctions following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and reopened under new Finnish ownership with its current name announced in July 2025.
