The room
Untitled Basement is a bar, lounge, music, food and art space at 7 Reserve Street in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, run together with Artivist. It was established in 2017 by a DJ, a record-label A&R, a marketing executive and a community of dreamers, and says that Artivist and Untitled Basement have produced or hosted more than 400 music experiences since launch — on average 65 a year, selling around 6,000 tickets annually. The room sells its shows through its own Quicket organiser account.
