The room
A 200-seat theatre on Nelson Mandela Square at Sandton City, Johannesburg. Daphne Kuhn, its owner and producer, founded it in Rosebank in 1994 and moved it to Sandton in 1997. It programmes a nightly bill of local and international plays, musicals, comedies, youth theatre and jazz, with classical concerts in the daytime, and says it has presented more than 3,000 plays, concerts and corporate events.
